Starting in 2009 the new CITO Coordinator will be RanHefner.
Please be kind to Randy and allow him the time to make the CITO events his own. I'm sure he will bring a new energy to the events. Randy will still be accepting donations to pay for the CITO food and the Website hosting. Do help with the cost when you can and if you can not at an event remember the paypal link on the site.
I am not leaving the group, and I will still be the NCGO Regional VP for the area. I have just come to realize this past year that along with Caching I have other areas of interest (hobbies) one of them Showing Tim's and My Custom PT Cruisers, it has seemed that on more than one occasion a car show and a caching event have been on the same weekend. Which means I have had to cancel or move the caching event or not go to the car show. The other is we really do not live close enough to Hickory to maintain the relationship with the City of Hickory Park and Recreation, in fact its a toll charge to call Hickory. My hope is since Randy is closer maybe more can be done with the City of Hickory Park and Recreation. Maybe other things can be planned, Maybe we can get our adopted by sign, (which I have asked for in the past ) afterall they are really supportive of caching in the Parks in Hickory. We have several groups we can work within now not just Geocaching we have Terracaching, GPS Games, Geo Dashing and things like Podcacher Flash Mobs etc. New life needs to be placed into events and I think Randy - RanHefner is a perfect fit.
So Thank you RanHefner........ CITO/Event Coordinator. _________________

Whooohoooo THANK YOU Randy for stepping up and saving the day! You have big shoes to fill with the Parrotheads, but if anyone can do it, you can. _________________ If I were a cache, where would I hide?

A big thanks to the ParrotHeads for all they've done and another big thanks to Randy for stepping in and taking over. I'm sure we've got a good year ahead. _________________ Tube Torcher II Survivor

I can not replace the Parrotheads, I can only succeed them. They set the bar high! _________________
